Golden State Boulevard Corridor Improvement Public Meetings
Cities along the Golden State Boulevard Corridor, including Fowler, Selma and Kingsburg, stand to benefit from planned improvements aimed at stimulating economic development. The Fresno Council of Governments in partnership with these three cities, Fresno County, and Fresno County Transportation Authority are working together to implement infrastructure improvements along the corridor. The public is invited to view the designs and offer feedback at upcoming public meetings in the respective communities.
The areas to be addressed include 14-miles of pavement rehabilitation, 14-miles of enhancement to bicycle and pedestrian facilities, installation of new traffic signals and standard and decorative street lighting throughout the corridor. The proposed work is estimated to cost approximately $47 million dollars which is funded through Measure C. Final design is scheduled to be complete in the winter of 2018-2019. Construction is estimated to begin in the spring 2019.
